Sensei Dawn Flick is a 6th degree black belt with over 25 years
Shotokan karate experience. She has been a karate instructor for over 15 years
and has been a top competitor at the national and international levels. Sensei
Dawn began her training in 1983 in Pennsylvania. For many years she trained
under Master Teruyuki Okazaki, founder and chief instructor of the ISKF. She
imparts to her students the training methods and philosophy of traditional karate-do
as taught to her by Master Okazaki.
Sensei Marcello Iacomini is a 4th degree black belt with over
35 years karate experience. From 1978 to 1987 he was a top national (Italy)
and international competitor in kata and kumite. In 1992, he moved to San Francisco
where he teaches today. Sensei Marcello began his karate training in 1971 in
Florence, Italy under the tutelage of Master Piero Borgenni. This method of
training builds confidence in each individual both physically and mentally.
The aim for Marcello's students is to feel that they can reach their greatest
potential regardless of any physical limitations.
Sempai Jumbo Banaria is a 4th degree black belt with over 15 years of
Shotokan karate experience. He has been a top competitor at the
national and international levels and is currently on the ISKF US
National team. He also has several years of teaching experience with
children as well as adults. Because of his success as a top level
competitor, he has been able to train with the best instructors and
competitors in the US. He uses his experiences as a student and
competitor to help engage his students to understand the main concepts
of Shotokan karate.
